spacemanship

The snowstorm has been irresponsible, and now the snow sits thawing on the lawn, nursing mud. From the window, all I can see is mud, smashed-up grass and the last patches of snow.

Stare long enough and the earth is more like a photograph of the earth from outer space - the water, wispy clouds and continents that we know so intimately from tv.

song of the day: la vie en rose

Funnily enough, I was looking out of the window at the grass only yesterday and wondering how a pile of snow -now gone- had turned into a patch of mud. How does the mud gets there? I suppose snow must be slightly -invisibly- muddy, especially if it's scooped up from somewhere else. I'll stop there! My comment is turning to drivel... :)

If you can see mud, I guess you don't live in a mid-Atlantic state! (Wait a minute, I'm not sure you're in any state at all -- lest it be a State of Bliss, the 51st entered into the Union.)
