Walking and chewing gum at the same time
Chewing gum and chewing tobacco at the same time
Peeing and brushing your teeth at the same time
Living and dead and the same time
Watching tv & reading & pushing reply all at the same time
Driving and crying at the same time (aka criving a la LKD)
Appearing calm and freaking out at the same time
Breathing and sneezing at the same time
Lighting fires & fighting fires at the same time (psychotic fireman syndrome)
Menstruating and eating chocolate at the same time
Sleeping and feasting at the same time (Ambien)
and despite what some people think using coupons
to buy things you don’t need is not spending
& saving at the same time
just like buying something because it’s on sale leans too far into the outbox
to be anything but instant & counterfeit gratification &
a bad idea

I've been in bad relationships in which I was screwing and being screwed at the same time.
wishing I may and wishing I might....wait a minute....never mind
Like your work, Sarah. Just the kind of stuff we're looking for.
Think of us sometime when you have short stuff to send out.

i don't know how i feel about multitasking. does it even exist? i guess so. is it good? probably not, since though i have the feeling I'm often engaged in it, i try to avoid snaring other people into it... whatever.
Camroc, that is nice of you. I will indeed keep your site in mind.
My understanding is that, as much as we'd like to think we multitask, we are 'time slicing'. Whereas, the more complex the activites we engage in, the less effective any of the individual tasks we do becomes. Neither chewing gum nor walking would suffer, but perhaps combining derivative tax preparation and changing a diaper might not fly.
