and they all lived together in a little crooked house
Pretty beautiful photograph, no? Taken by my talented brother Thatcher. The singer/band pictured – Joan as Police Woman - plays at Frankfurt’s Mousonturm tonight, and I’ve got tickets for me and my daughter, who thinks Indie is everything, and my friend Ingeborg. I usually wouldn’t do this on a school/work night, but my brother has been urgently concerned about how uncool I am. Just home all the time in my uncool clothes, thinking my uncool thoughts, feeling my uncool feelings, keeping them all at low temperatures slightly above freezing.

I love this phrase: "my brother has been urgently concerned about how uncool I am." It's a good thing he's never met me!
I'll send him over to your house. You'll soon be posing nude while hanging from tree limbs.
Oh, my, is that what's considered "cool" these days? It would certainly entertain the neighbors.
I'm just guessing, having majorly failed in this dept.
Wish there was a "like" button on Blogger! :)
Yes, beautiful. Have fun being indie & cool!
Beautiful photo. I have been taking Rachael to Indie concerts since she was 13 (the more obscure the better) and I am still tragically uncool (my daughter says it's the mom-jeans and keds). Have fun.
Yes, I was told it would be better for all present if I did not dance.
Uncool or not, dancing or not, I have given you a Stylish Blogger award.
There are several things you can do to bring on the cool Sarah. None of them have to do with clothes for the most part. Getting as little sleep as possible is number one. Secondly, a cigarette behind the ear even if you don't smoke. Wearing a surgical or rubber cleaning glove on one hand creates an air of mystery and even fear. And lastly Ray-Bans. Always Ray-Bans.
Oh, and just look up and sway. That should do it.
