i'll just get off up a ways

I was thinking this morning, when was the last time I had a Bloody Mary? I was probably in my twenties. I think it was at my friend Amy's (first) wedding, where I wore pale pink and stood under the chuppah with her. When I see a picture of a Bloody Mary, I think, wow, those are delicious. But in fact they are not delicious, and wine is my swami. Actually I don't care about Bloody Marys and don't want to see pictures of them. I want to move to Copenhagen and live under a canopy made of intricately cut paper, open on all four sides to symbolize, as Abraham and Sarah's tent did, boundless hospitality.

You are such a hoot, Sarah. "wine is my swami." I have noticed that greeting cards have taken a humorous bent lately. Like photos of Victorian children saying assertive, adult-like things. Many of your lines, probably throw-away to you, could grace the cover of these cards. And I love your dream habitat. Have you ever seen the doc film, Between the Folds? An independent film about paper cutting and folding. Origami and beyond.

I meant to say "wine is my smarmy." Oh well. YOu know what makes me mad? Having to sign in to comment on my own blog. Shouldn't it just recognize me?

I haven't seen that film, and I'm up in the air about about origami. Shouldn't those folders be out saving the world?

Then it's ok if I put this line on a t-shirt? Or do I have royalties or copyright issues? That used to frustrate me too, but now my blog recognizes me because I wear a name tag when I go on. And apparently the folders are saving the world. Some of the intricate folds in origami models are used to explain concepts in higher math. Also new ways to collapse things into small spaces such as air bags.
