less waystation than common grave

I have two "new" poems in Swink. "New" as in newly published, but in fact nearly two years old. Well, Swink is a good zine that takes its time.

The poems are "Staring Contest" and "Bedside Books," the former about defeat, the latter about . . . bedside books! Surprise!
Welcome you enjoy.

very nice. i don't know if i have the aushwitz swipe on the brain or not but Bedside Books made me think of european jews in the 40's.

i am truly in awe of people of letters. your life appears to be emersed in books and language. thanks for the inspiration.

Liked them both, Sarah. But "Bedside Books" is close to my heart -- or, um, sounds like my bedroom.

I hadn't read these before, Sarah.
Am too much in the Christmas
madness to give them my proper attention so I look forward to doing
so again in a few days.

Merry Christmas, by the way.
